Join this year’s SVMQG 2021 BOM challenge – It’s all about IMPROV! Members will embark on a sew along journey focused on improv piecing and design. Each month we’ll introduce and explore a new improv block technique and see where our individual creativity takes us. The program will kick-off in January and culminate with a grand show and tell in December.
This year we are playing with the elements of modern quilting through a quarterly series of mini quilts. Take a spin at the wheel and see where it leads you.
We will be offering three to four workshops throughout the year. Sign-ups will take place online. Participation will be limited to guild members with spaces opening up to the public if space allows.
We are offering four exchange activities throughout this year. Sign-ups will be online after the exchange is announced in a monthly meeting.
Introducing our latest program, Self-Guided Learning Teams. These teams are smaller break out groups where we explore a single subject, a specific pattern, or a particular creative process. Much like a study group or a book club, these teams will provide support and feedback for members as they make their way through the program as defined by the group.

Have an idea for a Learning Team? We’re open to suggestions.
The guild hosts Sew Days on a weekend day where members bring their machines and projects and enjoy a fun time sewing with friends! All of our sew days are “open sew” format. This means you can come and bring whatever you’d like to sew on for that day.
In addition to our regular monthly meetings on the second Thursday of the month, we encourage you to join us every Thursday for additional content. Our less structured, Digital Thursday events include a variety of topics such as Block of the Month Sew Lab, Dedicated Show & Tell, How do I quilt this?, etc.
