Today was our first Quilt for Pulse sew day at the guild and what a success! We finished laying out one whole quilt top (and began piecing it together) and even got started on laying out the majority of a second top. Thanks to all who came to pitch in and help today! And thank you to all our members who couldn’t make it to the sew day but donated blocks! We will definitely be hitting our two quilt goal in no time and might even be on our way to making a third with any additional blocks that you would like to donate this Thursday at our guild meeting or at our second Quilts for Pulse sew day coming up soon. (Date still TBD).
Here is our first full quilt top laid out on the design wall:
If you’re looking to contribute blocks for our second quilt top, we are in need of some of the warmer toned hearts like reds, oranges and yellows! Here’s the hearts we have started for our second quilt top:
Additionally, if you have any large pieces of fabric that could potentially be used for backing either of these two quilts that you’d like to donate, please bring it in. And thank you again to all who have donated fabric, blocks, and time to making these quilts!
